Morehead, KY (Sports Network) - Taylor Braun led the way with 23 points as the
North Dakota State Bison defeated the Morehead State Eagles, 69-57, at Ellis
Johnson Arena.
Braun was the only Bison (7-2) in double figures and was just one rebound shy
of a double-double. Mike Felt was 3-of-5 from behind the arc, adding nine
points off the bench, while Marshall Bjorklund accounted for eight points and
a game-high 11 rebounds before fouling out.
For the Eagles (4-5), Chad Posthumus was also one rebound shy of a double-
double, scoring 13 points off the bench. Angelo Warner and Devon Atkinson
contributed 14 and 13 points, respectively, in the setback.
The Bison trailed in the first 10 minutes of play, but a 12-0 run halfway
through the frame gave them a 33-19 lead at the break. The hosts made just 8-
of-30 (.267) from the floor and missed all nine attempts beyond the arc over
the first 20 minutes of action.
NDSU opened the second half on another 12-0 run and held the lead for
the remainder of the game, eventually claiming the 12-point victory thanks to
13-of-16 shooting at the free-throw line in the period.
The Bison made 42.3 percent of their shots from the floor and limited the
Eagles to a mere 2-of-17 from three-point range.
