Fargo, ND (Sports Network) - Marshall Bjorklund scored a game-high 20 points
as the North Dakota State Bison trampled the Morehead State Eagles, 69-49,
at Bison Sports Arena.
Bjorklund was 8-of-8 shooting from the floor and grabbed nine rebounds for the
Bison (10-3). Taylor Braun contributed 19 points and seven rebounds, while
Lawrence Alexander added 12 points and five assists in the victory.
Chad Posthumus scored a team-high 14 points and was two rebounds short of a
double-double for the Eagles (5-7). Angelo Warner was the only other Eagles
player in double-figures with 10 points.
North Dakota State made 13-of-24 shots from the floor in the first half and
limited the Eagles to an 0-of-7 effort from 3-point range, en route to a 34-22
advantage at the break.
The Bison kept-up their impressive shooting and defense, making 11-of-19 from
the floor and limiting the Eagles to a mere 1-of-6 beyond the arc in the
second half.
North Dakota State controlled the boards 31-22 and outscored the Eagles by a
32-18 margin on points in the paint.
