Austin, TX (Sports Network) - Texas guard Myck Kabongo, who accepted
impermissible benefits and then falsified statements about his actions, had
his season-long ban reduced to 23 games by an appeals committee.
The sophomore will also have to repay $475 of those benefits to a charity of
his choice.
Kabongo, who averaged 9.6 points and 5.2 assists as a freshman, will be
eligible to return on Feb. 13 against Iowa State.
