Charlottesville, VA (Sports Network) - Mike Tobey scored 19 points off the
bench as the Virginia Cavaliers routed the Wofford Terriers, 74-39, in a a
non-conference affair at John Paul Jones Arena.
Joe Harris and Akil Mitchell each added 15 points for Virginia (10-3) which
had a nine game winning streak snapped in its last time out.
Spencer Collins scored 17 points to pace Wofford (6-7) which had won four
of its previous five games.
At the end of the first half Virginia led 31-17 after hitting on 56.5 percent
of its shots from the field while limiting Wofford to just six field goals.
The Cavaliers opened the second half on a 25-4 run and never looked back.
Virginia shot 70.8 percent in the second half en route to the 35-point
victory.
Virginia had a 31-19 edge in rebounds and forced 17 Wofford turnovers.
