Williamsburg, VA (Sports Network) - Frantz Massenat dropped 19 points as the
Drexel Dragons defeated the William & Mary Tribe, 59-48, in a Colonial
Athletic Association battle at Kaplan Arena.
Damion Lee added 10 points off the bench and Dartaye Ruffin had 11 rebounds
for Drexel (6-11, 2-3 CAA) which put an end to a three-game losing streak.
Tim Rusthoven scored 19 points, Marcus Thornton added 14 and Brandon Britt
tacked on 13 for William & Mary (7-10, 1-5) which has lost seven straight.
Drexel shot just 40.7 percent from the floor in the first half but nailed
5-of-10 shots from beyond the arc to take a 32-24 lead into the break.
In the second half the Dragons limited the Tribe to just 29.6 percent
shooting while connecting on 45.5 percent of their own field goal attempts
to claim the victory.
Drexel had a 35-26 edge in rebounds and outscored the Tribe 24-15 from
3-point range.
