Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Led by 20 points from Langston Galloway,
the Saint Joseph's Hawks downed the Penn Quakers, 79-59, in a Big 5 matchup at
the Palestra.
Ronald Robert posted a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds for the
Hawks (10-6), while Carl Jones added 15 points.
For the Quakers (3-14), Darien Nelson-Henry finished with 17 points, as they
lost for the ninth time in the last 10 games.
Saint Joseph's shot 42.3 percent from the field in the first half, including
4-of-12 from 3-point range, as it took a 32-21 lead at the break. Penn was
held to just 32.3 percent shooting from the field in the half and missed all
but one of its 10 3-point tries.
After intermission, the Hawks shot a red-hot 64.3 percent from the field,
including 7-of-15 from beyond the arc, as they pulled away for the 20-point
win.
The Hawks had the edge on the boards, outrebounding the Quakers 38-32,
although Penn did outscore Saint Joseph's in the paint, 34-26.
