Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - Joe Eberhard scored 15 points to lead the
Sacramento State Hornets to a 67-58 win over North Dakota in a Big Sky bout at
The Hornets Nest.
John Dickson went for 11 points and 12 rebounds as Sacramento State (9-8, 4-5
Big Sky) outrebounded UND, 39-22. Mikh McKinney added 13 points and Cody Demps
chipped in 10 off the bench.
Troy Huff paced North Dakota (7-11, 4-5) with 24 points and nine boards and
Aaron Anderson netted 14 points as the team's three-game winning streak came
to a halt.
Two Anderson free throws midway through the first half gave UND a 24-12
advantage before the Hornets stormed back to tie the score at 30-30 at
intermission. Sacramento State hit 42.3 percent of its field goal attempts
before the break and UND stayed neck and neck by converting 8-of-10 at the
charity stripe.
The home team pulled away in the second half by shooting 50 percent from the
floor while limiting North Dakota to 35.7 percent field goal efficiency over
the span of the final 20 minutes. .
The Hornets' bench outscored its counterpart, 19-8, and the Hornets improve to
2-1 all-time over UND.
