Toledo, OH (Sports Network) - Dominique Buckley scored 20 points for the
Toledo Rockets as they claimed a Mid-American Conference win over the Bowling
Green Falcons, 75-62, at Savage Arena.
Buckley shot 4-of-6 from 3-point range and 8-of-8 from the free-throw line for
Toledo (7-10, 3-3 MAC), which snapped a three-game losing streak. Rian Pearson
was just 2-of-10 from the field but 10-of-10 from the charity stripe as he
scored 14 points with nine rebounds. Julius Brown added 14 points and seven
assists, while Nathan Boothe managed 10 points and six rebounds.
Jordan Crawford scored 20 points with seven assists for Bowling Green (7-12,
2-4), which lost its third game in four tries. A'uston Calhoun scored 13
points, while Luke Kraus added 12 off the bench on 3-of-5 shooting from
beyond the arc.
The Rockets led 28-22 after the first half, holding the Falcons to 34.5
percent shooting from the field.
In the second half, Toledo outscored Bowling Green, 47-40, shooting 56
percent from the floor on its way to the 13-point win.
The Rockets earned a 37-25 rebounding edge over the Falcons. They were also
fantastic from the foul line, shooting 26-of-27.
