Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Trevor Noack netted 19 points to lead the
Belmont Bruins to a 74-52 rout of the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles in a
Horizon League tilt at the Curb Events Center.
J.J. Mann scored 16 points while Ian Clark and Kerron Johnson added 13 points
a piece as Belmont (18-4, 9-0 OVC) improved to 9-1 at home this season.
Dennis Ogbe led Tennessee Tech (8-13, 2-7) with 19 points and Jud Dillard
contributed 17 points and 10 rebounds. Lanerryl Johnson had 11 points off the
bench.
Ogbe hit consecutive triples to give TTU an early 6-0 advantage before Belmont
battled back to take the lead late in the first half. Johnson finished a layup
with seconds remaining in the period to give the Bruins a 27-24 halftime edge.
Belmont began the second half on an 8-0 run behind Mann and Noack, who
combined for the first 15 points of the half for the Bruins. The Golden Eagles
shot just 36 percent in final 20 minutes.
TTU coughed the ball up 21 times which led to 25 points off turnovers for
Belmont.
