Carbondale, IL (Sports Network) - Jalen Pendleton drilled the game-winning 3-
pointer with two seconds remaining to lift the Southern Illinois Salukis to a

Valley Conference action at SIU Arena.

17-point lead less than 13 minutes in, but SIU closed the first half out on a
23-7 run to bring its deficit to just one, 36-35, heading into halftime.
The Salukis continued to lead for much of the second half until a Carl Hall
bucket capped off a 14-3 run for the Shockers, as they took a 62-60 lead with
just over a minute remaining. Pendleton answered with the game-tying basket on
the ensuing possession, then following a Wichita State turnover, he hit the
dramatic game-winner in the waning seconds.
