Missoula, MT (Sports Network) - Kareem Jamar posted a double-double of 19
points and 10 rebounds as the top-seeded Montana Grizzles coasted to a 70-56
decision over the fifth-seeded Northern Colorado Bears in the semifinals of
the Big Sky Conference Tournament at Dahlberg Arena.
Will Cherry pumped in 21 points for Montana (24-6), which will take on Weber
State on Saturday in the championship game.
Connor Osborne registered a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds for
Northern Colorado (13-18), while Derrick Barden scored 18 points.
After holding the Bears to 0-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc in the opening
20 minutes, Montana took a 34-25 lead into the intermission.
Northern Colorado shot only 35.5 percent from the field after the break while
the Grizzles extended their lead with 43.3 percent shooting from the floor and
7-of-11 efficiency at the free-throw line.
Montana held a 39-35 edge in the rebounding battle.
