(KSDK Sports) -- Missouri Basketball returns to action Friday afternoon as the Tigers face the Nevada Wolf Pack for the first time in series history. Missouri is coming off a 78-67 victory against Northwestern on Thursday in the Las Vegas Invitational. Nevada fell to UCLA, 105-84, earlier on Thursday. But the tournament i
s being played in a "classic" format since Missouri and UCLA will meet in Columbia on Dec. 7 to complete a home-and-home series that began last year.
Missouri improved to 2-0 on Thanksgiving Day. The Tigers have played on Thanksgiving Day each of the last two seasons, earning a win over Stanford, 78-70, in the first round of the 2012 Battle 4 Atlantis. Missouri also improved to 2-2 in Sin City. Prior to Thursday's win over Northwestern, Missouri last won in Vegas on Feb. 13, 1988, beating No. 7 UNLV, 81-79.
Missouri will be looking for a 7-0 start for the first time since the 2011-12 season. The Tigers have been 7-0 twice since 2006-07, starting 14-0 in 2011-12 and 9-0 in 2006-07.
