Heat moves Parkway North practice schedules

ST. LOUIS COUNTY – The excessive heat warning throughout the St. Louis area is causing some to adjust how they exercise outdoors, including athletes.

The Parkway North cross country team has practiced early in the morning to avoid heat illness.

Coach Scott Kreher is obeying recommendations put in place by the Missouri State High School Activities Association, which states if the heat index is between 95 and 105 degrees, a team's outdoor practices should be "altered."

Check out what the team's members had to say about the adjustments in the above video.
