Zumwalt North faces nemesis Battle

The Panthers host Battle in the state semifinals on Saturday, the same team that has eliminated them the past two seasons.

Fort Zumwalt North has revenge on the mind come Saturday. The Panthers will play Battle in the Class 5 state semifinals, their first appearance in the Final Four since 1977.

The Panthers, though, aren't thinking about what they are playing for as much as who they are playing against. Battle, who comes in to the game with a perfect 12-0 record, has eliminated Zumwalt North in eash of the past two seasons.

The third time could very well be the charm for the Panthers, thanks in large part to quarterback Cade Brister. Brister is putting together quite the senior season, with over 1,200 passing yards, 1,700 rushing yards and over 50 touchdowns.

The Panthers have won their last 11 contests after falling to Ladue in the season opener.
