KSDK -- High school football was down to the quarterfinals Friday and this is usually the time of year that Jefferson City comes up and lays a beat down on a St. Louis team.
Not when you are playing the Desmet Spartans at the "Palace on Ballas".
Jefferson City has a big time back in Kody Walker. Mizzou loves him. Why not... he is 6'2" and weighs 225. He has some wheels and was able to easily score a touchdown early.
But the Spartans have some playmakers as well. Malcom Egnew is one of them. He got an open field and he was gone for a Spartans touchdown.
The Spartan air attack was fierce Friday night.. Steve Kaiser connected with Durron Neal for a beautiful reception. Neal may be the next Jeremy Macklin.
Desmet won 27-6.
Desmet will be at Blue Spring next Friday.
