Local man is literally running cross-country for a good cause

Despite nagging injuries, Peter Tasker is running across the country of Nicaragua for a good cause.

Peter Tasker seems like a normal guy. He’s the father of 2 and is the athletic director at John Burroughs High School.

However, instead of spending part of his summer vacation at a resort, he’s going to run. He’s going to run across the country of Nicaragua, about 250 miles.

He’s going run almost a half marathon six days a week for about 3 weeks.

Tasker is doing this for a special charity that will help educate kids in Nicaragua.

If you are moved to make a contribution to the cause, email Peter at Ptasker@Jburroughs.org

Frank Cusumano, with the help of photographer Tom Stasiak takes it from here.
