ST. LOUIS - In the midst of a Cardinals blow out against the Pittsburg Pirates, Matt Holliday came to the plate just hours after being activated from the disabled list.
As he stepped to the plate, the crowd gave him a standing ovation, and it looked like Holliday was wiping tears from his eyes.
After stepping into the box and taking a few pitches, he launched a ball over the right field fence.
After circling the bases, Holliday was embraced by long-time teammates Adam Wainwright and Yadier Molina.
Watch the amazing moment here.
If this is the last at bat as a Cardinal, what an amazing way to go out!
