(KSDK Sports) -- After Tennessee's Chris Johnson rushed for 150 yards in a loss the previous week, the Rams held the Colts to 18 yards rushing with 17 by quarterback Andrew Luck.
The Indianapolis running backs, Trent Richardson, Donald Brown, Daniel Herron and Stanley Havili, combined for two yards on nine attempts.
Asked about the run defense, coach Jeff Fisher said, "Well, it helps when you get up fast, which we did, so I didn't expect to see much runs in the second half, going in with that lead (28-0). The defensive effort on third down was huge for us in the first half. I think they were 1-for-8. When we've had problems, that's been the area that we go to. I thought the guys did a nice job with that."
The Colts were 1-for-8 in the first half and 2-for-12 for the game.
