(KSDK Sports) -- Former St. Louis Rams defensive back Aeneas Williams is among 25 semifinalists being considered for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2014.
Williams was a finalist on last year's ballot. He was selected to the Pro Bowl eight times and finished his career with 55 interceptions.
The Hall of Fame's Selection Committee chose the 25 modern-era semifinalists from the previously announced list of 126 nominees.
Four first-year eligible candidates -- linebacker Derrick Brooks, coach Tony Dungy, wide receiver Marvin Harrison, and tackle Walter Jones -- are also among the semifinalists. Also, two other previously eligible candidates, coach Jimmy Johnson and guard Steve Wisniewski, made it to the semifinalist list for the first time.
The 25 semifinalists will be reduced to 15 finalists by mail ballot at a later date. The results of the modern-era reduction vote to 15 finalists will be announced during a one-hour special on NFL Network on Jan. 8.
