Blues host Hawks in Winter Classic Preview

In less than two months, the Blues will battle the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2017 Winter Classic. Tonight (7:00 p.m.), they look to snap the Blackhawk’s six-game winning streak.

This game will be a good test for the Blues—offensively and defensively. They'll need to produce like they did in Sunday's victory over the Avalanche, and Allen will need to stay sharp in net.

The last time these teams met (October 12), St. Louis defeated Chicago 5-2. That was the most lopsided game between the teams since a 5-1 Blues victory in March, 2012.

Chicago leads the Central Division with an impressive 9-3-1 record (19 pts). Behind them, the Blues have 16 points with a record of 7-4-2.

In his last seven games, Vladimir Tarasenko has scored six goals and tallied 3 assists. Paul Stastny is riding a three-game point streak, with one goal and four assists.

Peterri Lindbohm will replace an injured Joel Edmundson.

Here are the projected lines for tonight’s game:

Fabbri-Stastny-Jaskin
Upshall-Brodziak-Reaves

Defense
Bouwmeester-Pietrangelo
