Colorado Springs, Co (KUSA) -- The Navy Seals are helping to prepare members of the U.S. Sailing Team for the Olympic games.

The Seals pushed the athletes farther than they ever thought they could go at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

The Seals quickly made the new recruits do nearly 100 push-ups.  Then they had to run into the water of a freezing pond several times.  Then, they had to lift 220 pounds worth of logs.

The training left the sailing team members shaking from the cold and pure exhaustion.

Of the 42 who started the challenge, only 18 remained two hours later.

The next morning, the entire team, including those who dropped out before, were called back to the line and had to do it all again.

The members pushed themselves beyond their limits all in an effort to prepare for London where they will face the best athletes in the world.
