San Jose, CA (KSDK) - The Olympic Trials Gymnastics is underway in San Jose, California.

I'm here giving you a front row seat to the action plus a behind the scenes look at what it's like to be the family member of an Olympic hopeful.

Sarah Finnegan is one of 15 women vying for one of only five spots on the team.  I got a chance to speak with her family.

"You tighten your stomach a lot, you get a good ab workout out of the deal," said her father, Don Finnegan.

"Because of all the things that have happened, all of the injuries, being far from eachother, it really felt so good to be actually here," said her mother, Linabelle Finnegan.

"I'll be excited because we'll all get to go to London also. So, vacation for us," said her sister, Hannah Finnegan.

Sarah competes Friday and Sunday.

We'll find out if she's going to London around 10 p.m. Central Time on Sunday.
