St. Louis boy shares stories from Sochi

ST. LOUIS COUNTY - Ridge Meadows Elementary hosted a big welcome-back party for one of its students Wednesday.

You may remember 10-year-old Ben Hughes. He's the kid who went to the Olympics thanks to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

When he returned to school Wednesday after traveling to Sochi, his teachers and administrators went all out for the entire fourth grade class, so everyone could experience a little bit of the Olympics.

The students had six Olympic-inspired events to take part in, plus Ben took the stage and shared with his classmates some of his favorite moments. The biggest and most unforgettable has to do with snowboarder Shaun White and his gift to Ben.

"Uh it's one of Shaun White's snowboards. He used it in the Olympics and he signed it," said Ben. "It was really, really cool."

He says he's not going to use the snowboard, but he will hang it in his bedroom.
