(The Chirp) -- Versatile Cardinal Skip Schumaker, who is out with a strained oblique will remain at Class AAA Memphis for a while longer on his rehab option, which began on Sunday.
Schumaker thought he came back too soon last May after suffering a strained right triceps.
Manager Mike Matheny said the club would be careful not to rush him this time.
Meanwhile Daniel Descalso continuest to get the majority of starts at second base, with Tyler Greene fighting to remain in the mix.
