Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Brandon Morrow threw six strong innings of one-
run ball and the Toronto Blue Jays topped Oakland, 5-2, to earn a split of
a two-game series on Wednesday.
Morrow (4-1) scattered four hits and walked four while striking out 10. He
allowed his first run since an April 23 start against the Kansas City Royals.
Casey Janssen worked a perfect ninth to nail down his first save of the
season.
Adam Lind smoked a two-run homer and Edwin Encarnacion and J.P. Arencibia
added solo shots, while Colby Rasmus contributed an RBI single for the Blue
Jays, who snapped a three-game skid.
Josh Reddick and Jonny Gomes had an RBI apiece and Jemile Weeks added a pair
of hits for the Athletics, who had their three-game winning streak halted.
Tyson Ross (1-3) allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while fanning
three in 5 2/3 innings.
