Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Jason Grilli was
activated off the bereavement list before Wednesday's game against the Mets.
Grilli, who was placed on the bereavement list on Sunday, is 1-1 with a 2.25
earned run average in 17 relief appearances this season.
The 35-year-old right-hander is in his second season with the Pirates after
missing all of the 2010 campaign recovering from right knee surgery and last
year was 2-1 with a 2.48 ERA in 28 games.
To make room on the roster, Pittsburgh optioned lefty Jeff Locke to Triple-A
Indianapolis.
