Washington, DC (Sports Network) - The Atlanta Braves signed first baseman Lyle
Overbay to a minor league contract on Monday.
The 35-year-old played in 45 games with the Arizona Diamondbacks this season,
hitting .292 with two homers and 10 RBI before being released by the club on
Aug. 5.
Over the course of his 12-year career with Arizona, Milwaukee, Toronto and
Pittsburgh, Overbay is a career .271 hitter with 133 long balls and 581 RBI.
