Cardinals NLCS Game 5 pep-rally and pre-game ceremony plans

St. Louis (KSDK) -- St. Louis Cardinals fans got pumped up at a pre-game pep rally ahead of the potential clinching NLCS Game 5 Friday.

The Cardinals Official Pre-Game Pep Rally was from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Ballpark Village at Clark and Broadway.

There was live music and appearances by Fredbird and Cardinals alumni.

Fans also had a chance to get their pictures taken with the 2011 World Series Trophy.

Gates for Game 5 at Busch Stadium opened at 5 p.m. and rally towels were given to 42,000 fans when they entered the stadium.

The first pitch is at 7:07 p.m. and can be seen on FOX.

The Cardinals lead the series 3-1.  The winner will take on the Detroit Tigers in the World Series.
