San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) - The San Francisco Giants declined to
tender a contract to pitcher Brian Wilson on Friday, making the closer a free
agent.
Wilson, 30, made only two regular-season appearances in 2012 before undergoing
season-ending Tommy John surgery on April 19.
The three-time All-Star has spent all seven of his major league seasons with
the Giants, racking up 171 saves, good for third most in franchise history.
