(KSDK Sports) -- The Cardinals may have their closer signed up for the next few season, but the same cannot be said about their third baseman.
The Cards have yet to reach a deal with slugger David Freese.
General Manager John Mozeliak admits the "gap" between the two sides is big, but he has never gone to arbitration with a player.
Freese has 35 homers and 177 R-B-Is in 328 games with the Cardinals. The numbers will determine his value.
