KSDK -- They are the things that helped make Lou Brock the legendary "base burglar." And now, the Hall of Fame outfielder is putting many of his prized items of baseball history up for auction.
Among the nearly 100 items up for grabs are Brock's 1967 World Championship ring and the base he stole to break Ty Cobb's all-time stolen bases record.
Auctioneer Doug Allen of legendaryauctions.com is quick to point out that Brock is not having the items auctioned because of any financial need. Also, Brock is keeping several more items that are particularly meaningful to him.
The auction ends November 18.
