Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love
will miss Thursday night's game against the Clippers after suffering a mild
concussion and neck strain during a loss at Denver and spending the night in a
hospital for precautionary reasons.
The All-Star took an inadvertent elbow to the head from JaVale McGee in the
first quarter against the Nuggets on Wednesday night. He was evaluated further
on Thursday and cleared to return to Minneapolis, but will sit out against Los
Angeles.
The team said Love would be evaluated more in the upcoming days and updates on
his status will be provided "when warranted."
In 55 games this season, Love is averaging 26.0 points and 13.3 rebounds.
