New York, NY (Sports Network) - New York Knicks guard Baron Davis will have surgery later this week on his injured right knee after he left Sunday's Game 4 Eastern Conference quarterfinal matchup with the Miami Heat with a dislocated right patella.

An MRI on Monday revealed a partial tear of the patella tendon and complete tears of the anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in his right knee.

Davis left the game with 5:15 remaining in the third quarter when his knee buckled as he drove to the basket. He remained on the floor in agony and a stretcher was brought on to escort him to the locker room.

The 33-year-old guard had assumed a starting role for the Knicks in the playoffs after point guard Jeremy Lin suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee in late March and guard Iman Shumpert tore his ACL and meniscus in his left knee during New York's Game 1 loss.

The Knicks won the game, 89-87, to avoid the sweep and Game 5 is slated for Wednesday in Miami.
