New York, NY (Sports Network) - Sancho Lyttle of the Atlanta Dream and Kristi
Toliver of the Los Angeles Sparks were named WNBA's Eastern and Western
Conference Players of the Week for the period ending August 26.
Lyttle led Atlanta in scoring (17.3 points per game), rebounding (7.3) and
steals (2.7) while also dishing out 3.7 assists per contest.
Toliver led the West in scoring with 25.3 points per game and was second in
three-point percentage after knocking down 13-of-21 shots from behind the arc.
Other players considered for the award were Indiana's Katie Douglas, New
York's Cappie Pondexter, Minnesota's Rebekkah and San Antonio's Danielle
Robinson.
