Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Jrue Holiday scored 26 points, dished out
10 assists and slammed home a rare road win for the Philadelphia 76ers against
the Los Angeles Lakers in a 103-99 decision at Staples Center.
Evan Turner finished with 22 points, 13 rebounds and five assists for the
Sixers, who never trailed in the second half and improved to 2-3 on their
eight-game road trip.
Spencer Hawes totaled 13 points off the bench, including a critical jumper
down the stretch after a Kobe Bryant 3-pointer cut the Lakers' deficit to two.
Bryant paced Los Angeles with 36 points on 14-of-29 shooting, but the starting
frontcourt of Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard combined to shoot 3-of-19 from the
field for 18 points.
Steve Nash added 12 points and 10 helpers for Los Angeles, which had won six
of seven coming in and was perhaps looking ahead to a matchup against the
Clippers on Friday.
