Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released safety Tanard
Jackson on Tuesday due to a failed physical.
Jackson, who underwent offseason shoulder surgery, was suspended for over a
year in 2010 for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. He started 10
games last season after being reinstated and finished with 35 tackles and two
interceptions.
A fourth-round selection by Tampa Bay in 2007, Jackson has started 56 career
games, recording 239 tackles and 10 interceptions over that span.
