Renton, WA (Sports Network) - The Seattle Seahawks agreed to terms on one-year
contracts with linebackers Leroy Hill and Matt McCoy on Thursday.
Hill, 29, has played all seven of his NFL seasons for the Seahawks since they
drafted him in the third round out of Clemson in 2005.
He started all 16 games this past season, making 89 tackles in a return from a
tumultuous 2010.
Hill played just one game that year after having surgery to repair an Achilles
injury. He also missed a chunk of the 2010 preseason with a knee sprain, dealt
with a domestic violence charge and was suspended for the season-opener after
violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy
McCoy, a second-round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2005, has played for
four teams in seven seasons, including the last two with Seattle, where he has
also been a special teamer.
