Chesterfield, MO (KSDK) - Have you ever seen one of those clever t-shirts at a Blues or Cardinals game? There's a chance it was made right here in St. Louis.
Jeff Michel of Chesterfield started a business called rinawear.com when he was in college. He sold funny t-shirts outside Busch Stadium and when business started to boom, he opened his own store.
Fast forward five years. Michel is still selling t-shirts, but only part-time. Now he works full-time at a computer company and he lets other stores and his website do the work for him.
Michel has created a line of Blues-themed shirts that are sure to have you laughing. One features a stop sign with the word Halak replacing the word stop. Another features a sketch of excitable Blues announcer Darren Pang and his "Holy Jumpin'" catchphrase.
"I just tried to find a niche and capitolize on it," said Michel. "St. Louis is such a great sports town and people love to be spotted in a t-shirt that makes you laugh."
Michel says he prints the t-shirts in his basement and ships them all over the country.
