New York, NY (Sports Network) - New York Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh will
miss Tuesday's game against the Winnipeg Jets with an undisclosed injury he
sustained in the team's most recent outing.
McDonagh left Saturday's 3-0 loss in Montreal in the second period after being
hit hard into the boards by the Canadiens' Max Pacioretty. The third-year
blueliner did not participate in either Monday's practice or Tuesday's morning
skate.
New York will also be without left wing Rick Nash for a fourth straight
contest when it faces the Jets, though the prized offseason acquisition did
return to the ice for Tuesday's workout. The Rangers have also not revealed
the exact nature of Nash's injury.
Forward Darroll Powe appears on track to be back in the lineup for Tuesday's
tilt, however, after practicing for a second straight day. Powe has sat out
the last three games after suffering a concussion on Feb. 17.
Defenseman Michael Del Zotto will miss a second straight game with a lower-
body ailment.
