Superfan pops 'the question' at U.S.-Ghana game

are a longtime couple from Nashville and members of the U.S. soccer fan group the American Outlaws. They're in Brazil this month for the 2014 World Cup and following the USMNT around the country. As if Monday's opening game against Ghana wasn't going to be stressful enough for an American superfan, Nick had decided he was going to propose during the second half. The moment was captured by Yahoo! Screen.

The "U-S-A!" chant mixed with "She-Said-Yes!" is tremendous.

Also great: The face-painted guy to Jennifer's left who smiles at the proposal, then immediately returns to watching the game. Hey, don't blame him, it's not like he got engaged.

This was a bold move, Nick. Not the proposal — they're a lovely couple — but popping the question in the middle of the game. Nick proposed in the second half, presumably when the U.S. was holding that slim 1-0 lead over Ghana. Nothing can ruin a happy day that celebrates a lifelong commitment, but your team giving up an equalizer in the must-win opening game you traveled 5,000 miles to attend could probably put a damper on it.
