St. Louis ice dancer remembers 1980 Olympics

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – We've been talking a lot about Olympic dreams this week. St. Louisan Stacey Smith, meanwhile, has Olympic realities.

She competed in the Ice Dancing event in the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, N.Y. She and her partner John Summers were three-time U.S. national champions.

One of her Olympic memories was riding the shuttle bus at the Olympic Village with Eric Heiden, who won five gold medals in speed skating that year.

She told us more about her Olympic memories on First at 4. Watch the video above for more.
