The San Diego Padres hold the National League record for hitting a home run in consecutive games with 25. The Cardinals are sitting at 24 and could tie the record tonight in Pittsburgh.

The Cardinals are sitting at 24 home runs and could tie the record tonight in Pittsburgh.

But what is perhaps most amazing about this home run surge, is it's led by Jedd Gyorko, who now leads the team in homers with 26.

No one could have expected the guy we traded Jon Jay for to be the leader he has become.
