Reports are buzzing online that Justin Bieber's private jet was held at a New Jersey airport Friday because of suspicion that marijuana was on the plane.
Sources have told NBC News, ABC News, TMZand Page Six that the plane, landing in Teterboro, N.J., from Toronto, was held because of a strong odor of pot. Page Six's source reports that a canine team searched the plane, though no marijuana was found.
The 19-year-old pop star was reportedly traveling to New Jersey for Super Bowlweekend. Officials told NBC News that they were "executing their authority" to search the plane because it had flown in from Canada.
There have been no arrests reported, and it's unclear whether the plane is owned by Bieber or was chartered for this occasion.
This is just the latest incident involving the law for Bieber, who tweeted early this morning that he's still just a "small town kid." The pop star was arrested last week in Miami for DUI and drag-racing, and he turned himself in to Toronto police this week for assault charges.
