ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – Sunday night, one actress has a shot at becoming an Oscar winner, and she got her start right here in St. Louis.

Actress June Squibb, 84, hails from Vandalia, Ill. and performed at the Muny in Gloria in "Bye Bye Birdie," in 1966 and starred in "Ballroom" in 1979.

She is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "Nebraska," which has a total of six nominations.

NewsChannel 5's Heidi Glaus spoke to the Best Supporting Actress nominee about her preparations ahead of the big night.
