ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – The two remaining St. Louis area contestants will duke it out in the next level of Battle Rounds on "The Voice" Monday night.

Tess Boyer, of Glen Carbon, Ill., and Patrick Thomson of Festus, Mo. will try to make it to the next round on the NBC singing reality show.

Boyer originally made the cut on Team Usher but lost the battle round to Bria Kelly. Coach Blake Shelton stole the former Rams cheerleader for his team.

Patrick Thomson met a similar fate by winning over Adam Levine in the blind auditions but losing to Kat Perkins in the first set of battle rounds. Shakira loved his voice and rescued him from coming back home.

Both will battle their teammates to move on to the next round.

The show airs Mondays and Tuesdays on NewsChannel 5 at 7 p.m.
