If you're looking for a way to impress your honey on Valentine's Day maybe your ticket is starting date night off with a romantic poetry reading. "Very Special Arts" is hosting a poetry reading where three published poets will share their work.

"I began writing poetry when I was in high school at that time I was depressed, but I didn't know it. I was too young to know it so I wrote down my thoughts that I didn't have the nerve to say out loud," explained Joyce Grimes, VSA Poet.

The Missouri Arts Council helps sponsor VSA artists around the state. You can enjoy the readings and browse the gallery wher the walls are full of work from VSA artists.

To listen to Joyce and other VSA poets read on Valentine's Day you can head to the Regional Arts Commission gallery at 6128 Delmar Blvd. This is a free event and open to the public. You don't need to sign up ahead of time. You can enjoy refreshments beginning at 5:30pm and the readings beginning at 6pm.
