SHOW ME ST. LOUIS-
Holiday house tour in Washington Missouri
Andy Voss has been decorating for Christmas since September. His home has been part of the Washington Preservation House Tours in the past, but this year he's hosting his own event with hopes of raising money for two local charities.
"It just grew and grew and grew," said Andy Voss.
Voss looks forward to Christmas all year.
"I felt that way all my life. I started as a young boy."
More than 30 Christmas trees fill the Washington home. Some trees hold around 800 ornaments.
"We've collected them ever since I've been married 47 years. So through the years little by little I got more and more and more and more," said Voss.
Even though the Christmas trees are the focal point of the Holiday House Tour, Andy has entire rooms decorated to coincide with a theme. Every room has at least one Christmas tree and a nativity scene on display.
"I thought I might as well try and do some good while I'm doing this," explained Voss.
The Holiday House Tour is Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15 from 4pm-8pm at 1600 Zero Ave. in Washington, Missouri.
Andy is having a freewill offering. The money he raises will go to the Pregnancy Assistance Center and the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
