ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Illinois (KSDK) --

Crews were on the scene of a Union-Pacific train derailment in the Metro East, Saturday. It happened just before 6:00 a.m. at Forest Boulevard and Kingshighway near Washington Park, Illinois.

A Union-Pacific representative says a couple cars that came off the track were carrying new automobiles. They have since been turned upright.

St. Clair County Emergency Management says there have been no evacuations and nothing hazardous was being carried.
