Anne Allred anchors the 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. news with Mike Bush. Anne won the Mid-America Emmy award for best news anchor for her coverage of the 2014 riots in Ferguson, Missouri.
She also covers some of the biggest local news stories for NewsChannel 5.
A native St. Louisan, Anne joined NewsChannel 5 in January of 2013. Anne has traveled extensively to cover some of the biggest new stories including the Beijing, Vancouver and London Olympics.
She comes to KSDK from WHDH, the NBC affiliate in Boston, where she worked for 6 years. Anne was the weekday morning and Noon anchor. Her work at WHDH resulted in an Emmy nomination for best news anchor in 2012.
She has also worked at WSYX/WTTE in Columbus, Ohio, WCTI in New Bern, N.C. and for NPR. Anne is excited to be back in her hometown rooting on the Cardinals. But, she says NewsChannel 5 feels like home as well.
Anne got the journalism "bug" when she interned at KSDK in college.
