Katie Felts is one of the lucky ones. She has a passion for sports that traces its roots back to a youth filled with select softball, and she has paired that with a talent for telling stories to forge a career as a sports reporter and anchor.
In more than 15 years in broadcasting, Katie has covered everything from high schools to professional sports. She currently practices her craft for KSDK Channel 5 in St. Louis, where her emphasis is on the Cardinals, Rams and Blues.

Prior to St. Louis, Katie had become something of a pioneer. Katie was the first female in the sports department at all three of her previous TV stations – although she would never consider herself an innovator.
Katie has been able to connect in profound ways to several people in her profession and generate lasting contacts. Those proved most fruitful in helping her break multiple stories over the years, including the hiring of Mike Anderson as the basketball coach at the University of Missouri.
She has gained a unique perspective on the world of sports as a woman in the male-dominated field. Her professionalism, coupled with the ability to make personal connections, has allowed her to excel and provides a wide range of stories.

Katie has a 5-year-old son, Trevor, and 2-year-old daughter, Izzie who she raises with her husband, Craig. The family resides in St. Louis.
